Diehl Defence has signed an agreement with General Atomics Europe, the current owner of EST Energetics GmbH in Rothenburg/Oberlausitz, to acquire the company.

EST Energetics GmbH, based in Rothenburg/Oberlausitz, is a successful, internationally active medium-sized company and belongs to the General Atomics Europe group. As a certified specialized disposal company for explosive substances, EST Energetics GmbH operates a modern plant for the environmentally friendly thermal recycling of these substances. Its range of services includes, in particular, the professional disposal and recycling of lithium metal batteries, airbags, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, and other pyrotechnic items. The company currently employs around 60 qualified employees and is one of the leading providers in Europe in its field of expertise.
